Within easy reach of the Mendip Hills (5 miles) and the vibrant city of Wells (8.5 miles), this is a lovely retreat which is also perfect for reaching the coast, with the popular seaside town of Burnham-on-Sea within ten miles.

On entering this bright and attractive property, you will find yourself in the light, welcoming and comfortable open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The lounge is a lovely space to relax in, with plenty of seating, a TV/DVD and patio doors with views out over the garden. You can prepare a fantastic meal in the fully equipped kitchen and share it in the delightful dining area. There’s also a cosy double bedroom. The enclosed garden is perfect for dogs and features a pretty lawn and a patio area where you can sit back and enjoy a drink or a BBQ while admiring the tranquil surroundings.

This is an ideal base for dogs and their owners looking to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. The historic town of Glastonbury (8.5 miles) has plenty of dog-friendly pubs, cafes and shops, as does the beautiful city of Wells where you can also explore the famous cathedral and Bishop’s Palace. There are miles of fantastic walks to discover in the breathtaking Mendip Hills, with popular destinations including Cheddar Gorge (5.5 miles) and the Priddy Circles (9 miles). Among other local attractions are Glastonbury Tor (9.5 miles), Ebbor Gorge (7.5 miles) and the thriving coastal town of Weston-super-Mare (16 miles).

The cottage was rather small but adequately equipped. It was rather overlooked by the owners property so no seclusion. Lovely garden and view across fields from patio doors.

The Location of the holiday cottage is lovely and peaceful and central for traveling to attractions by car.There is a steep hill if you are walking to Wedmore shops which very elderly people might struggle with.good enclosed garden for the dogs and a very lovely host in Lesley.

Hillcrest is a lovely little cottage, well equipped and in a lovely location with views across open fields. Lesley very welcoming. loved the food treat during the week. Although garden overlooked, we did not feel uncomfortable. Very pretty and clean garden. Nicely laid out cottage/annex. My husband said it was the most relaxing holiday he has had in years.

This cottage was perfect in every way for us and our two dogs. A safe track to walk them at night. Peace and quiet and Lesley's helpful and no fuss approach was much appreciated. No intrusive signs at Hill Crest. Lots to do in the area and Wedmore is a delight and a short walk away, albeit down a steep hill. Can't speak highly enough of Hill Crest Read moreand Lesley. Lovely location with an enclosed garden for the dogs. Very dog friendly. Owner very friendly and helpful. Within walking distance of the village of Wedmore but not suitable for people with mobility issues as roads quite steep and lack of pavements. Comfortable, light and airy - perfect for a couple. Would definitely go again.

This is a delightful place to stay. We were made very welcome on arrival and given a basket of tasty goodies for humans and dogs. The enclosed garden is secure and both dogs enjoyed their stay. Hill Crest Cottage is a lovely light and airy cottage. We were given a warm welcome by the owner and found many unexpected provisions (milk, bread, cake etc). It is well situated for many local attractions, the Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury, Wells, Bath, and only twenty minutes from the sea, but check the tide timetable to avoid disappointment.
