A beautiful thatched cottage situated in a peaceful Dorset village, this is the perfect place to escape from the crowds and simply relax surrounded by glorious English countryside.
Despite the local village pub being located only 150 yards from your holiday property you’ll find it hard to drag yourself away from the comfort of this beautiful thatched cottage. After a day of ear-pricking, tongue-lolling, ball-chasing, stick-fetching fun, return to this cosy haven for a relaxing evening for you and a belly rub for your four-legged friend, recharging the batteries for another day of outdoor antics.
Clean muddy paws and discard muddy boots in the hall before padding through to the tiled kitchen which makes it practical for cleaning up after a day out. The kitchen is well equipped for meal preparation and other guests, as well as your four-legged friend can settle down in the sitting room in front of the open fire, to enjoy a snooze as the logs crackle. Snuggle up in the window loveseat with a spot of holiday reading or stretch out on the sofa to rest your walk-weary limbs. Climb the winding staircase leads to two walk-through bedrooms which sleep four in bright, airy comfort. The lawned garden boasting flowerbeds, shrubs and there’s a shady willow tree, perfect for stretching out on the grass and catching some rays, playing fetch or simply relaxing with a glass of wine.
Despite its rural location, the cottage is ideally situated to explore the surrounding area. Take the coastal path from Lulworth Cove (4 miles) to the iconic Durdle Door (4 miles) for pebble beaches and dipping paws in the sea. Head to Jordon Hill (9 miles), above Bowleaze Cove for off-lead walks and beautiful far reaching views of Weymouth Bay. For a bit of history, enjoy the dog-friendly Portland Castle (13 miles) or take a picnic to Lulworth Castle (7 miles) for on-lead walks through extensive parkland and woodland.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
