Spend your days exploring some of the country’s best stretches of coastline, with this cosy country cottage making the perfect bolthole from which to explore. Discover Cornwall’s glorious sandy surfing beaches and sheltered coves, quaint fishing villages, and plenty of walking routes. There’s something for everyone here, including your four-legged friend.
All that exploring is sure to build up an appetite, so take a seat beside the warming wood burner effect electric fire and enjoy a family meal, prepared in the stylish and elegant adjoining kitchen. With exposed beams and a traditional wood burner, the charming and characterful lounge is a welcome place to curl up and relax before bed, with space for Fido to make himself at home. Upstairs, two bright and comfortable bedrooms await, plus a bathroom. There’s also a beautiful and expansive garden, ideal for children and their furry best friends to run around in while you sit back and keep watch, a glass of chilled wine in hand (you’re on holiday, after all).
The property is close to the Camel Trail, which you’ll find 9 miles south-west in Wadebridge. The trail is perfect for walking, cycling, or even jogging, and stretches through 18 miles of mostly traffic-free Cornish countryside. Many walks can also be enjoyed from the doorstep, while the National Trust coastline offers some of the country’s best waterside scenery. Head to nearby Port Isaac (7 miles), where kids will enjoy the rockpools and your canine companion can get sandy paws year-round on the dog-friendly beach. From here, the South West Coast Path is your oyster; walk 9 miles to Tintagel, or 11.5 miles to picturesque Padstow.
