Does your dog love days exploring the great outdoors followed by cosy evenings in by the wood burner? We’ve got just the thing – a stay at this pretty cottage in the Norfolk village of Syderstone. This stylish property, located between a National Nature Reserve and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the perfect spot for a happy holiday if you’re a family or group of friends with up to two dogs.

The inside of the house is charmingly decorated, with sumptuous sofas, cosy rugs and cushions and wooden furniture. The lounge is perfect for relaxing together in the evenings – sit back with a magazine and a hot chocolate as Benedict doses off dreaming of catching seagulls. Take a luxurious soak in the freestanding roll-top bath. When you fancy some fresh air, pop out into the garden where you’ll find furniture for enjoying outside meals on finer days. This area is enclosed, so you don’t need to worry about your pets wandering off.

The village of Syderstone is surrounded by lovely walking trails for long or short trips through the Norfolk countryside that you can access without needing to get in the car. The sea is only 10 miles away – to give waggy-tailed guests the workout of their lives, head to Wells-next-the-Sea (9.5 miles) or Holkham Bay (13.5 miles). They’ll be as happy as Larry tearing along the beach and weaving in and out of the sand dunes as you admire the sea views.

The cottage was cozy and well equipped. Lots of lovely places to visit and all close by. There is a lovely heath just a short walk from the cottage, perfect for walking the four legged family members. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, thank you.

Lovely location, lots to do within 10 miles of the property in each direction. We liked the cosy fire and plentiful hot water. The garden was pleasant and we were able to sit out one afternoon but it was early March! Not recommending the upstairs bedroom for people 5'8" or taller due to the sloping ceilings and you'll need to duck each time you entRead moreer the kitchen! A very comfortable cottage located in the village of Syderstone. There is a lovely walk on the Common. The neighbours were friendly. The area has plenty to see and do. Beaches, market towns, and local farm shops. Absolutely loved it here ! Spotlessly clean , everything you needed to enjoy your holiday . The welcome pack was a added bonus too ,. Lovely quite cottage, great place to sight see Norfolk from. If your very tall you would probably not last the week without banging your head. I took my elderly parents and we had to be careful of trip hazards. Great for dog owners lovely walks in the countryside. Location was good for access to Sandringham, Hunstanton, Brancaster, Holkham and Holt-Sheringham railway without too much travelling. Kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. Nice to have 2 bathrooms with 2 families sharing the holiday. Lots of board games to play.

Lovely quaint cottage - but take care you dont trip on stairs and steps into rooms - and if you're tall dont bump your head! We're elderly so hazards for older people. Very attractive with wisteria on front, nice pretty small garden. Plenty of goodies including two welcome packs, biscuits, jam, drinks. Well located cottage.20-25 minutes from all the sites.Wells,Holkham,Blakeney,Brancaster,Hunstanton and Sandringham.Nice local walks around the common.Shame the local pub has closed down.Cottage not modern but well equipped and comfortable

We had a lovely few days at the cottage. It's in a perfect location near so many beautiful beaches and quirky market towns . There are no shopping or eating facilities within walking distance but that's ok by us . It was very peaceful and quiet and we would love to come again.

Cosy cottage. Lovely and warm to come back to on a cold winter's day. Didn't like the trek to the downstairs bathroom from the downstairs bedroom. I was expecting an ensuite. Stairs to the upstairs steep. Very quiet location .

Lovely cosy cottage had everything that we needed, good location for visiting other places. Wanted ground floor facilities for 90yr old father but the shower is not equipped for elderly or attached to the ground floor bedroom but we managed. Close walks nearby for our dog.

Overall a nice cottage with most things we needed. Very clean, comfortable for three adults, and reasonably priced. In a peaceful location, well situated for exploring north Norfolk, from west to east. Recommend taking everything you need for the first couple of days, especially if arriving late in the afternoon, as there are no shops nearby. PhoneRead more signal is very poor (no fault of the owners) - we needed to stand outside, but WiFi works well throughout, and there is a pay phone if you need it. Hide
