Take time out to relax in this converted former stable, set in a beautiful rural village with a network of popular walking routes nearby and easy access to the stunning Jurassic Coastline.

This charming cottage, set in the picture-postcard village of Stoke Abbott close to the pretty town of Beaminster, is perfect for a romantic break for a couple and up to two canine companions.

This converted stable block offers quirky and comfortable accommodation. Inside, there is a lovely living space with two cosy armchairs and a wood burner for chillier evenings, where your four-legged friend can stretch out on the rug. Upstairs the romantic, king-size bedroom has lovely views and a second lounge area just next door, where your four-legged friends can sleep close to you should you wish. Outside is a glorious, spacious garden, shared with the property owners, ideal for a game of fetch before sitting down to enjoy a drink on the patio in the sunshine. Guests also have use of their own small private enclosed area of the garden next to the cottage with a BBQ, outdoor seating and a cosy shed with sofa (available to use between Easter and the end of October) with a peaceful outlook.

Set in the heart of the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are waggy-tailed walks galore to be enjoyed both locally and further afield. Alternatively, jump in the car and head south to the Jurassic coast. Lyme Regis, famous for its beach, fossils and harbour – known as the Cobb – is just 14 miles away. Or for a closer trip to the beach, head to the pretty town of Bridport (6 miles) and the beautiful stretch of sand that is West Bay. Take a picnic and enjoy walkies on the beach (dogs are welcome all year in the East Cliff area) before rounding off the day with a cream tea in one of Bridport’s many cafes.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet village, although access is interesting, down narrow lanes. The setting is idyllic in a beautiful country garden, and the patio area for guests is a lovely touch. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The vase of flowers from the garden provides a great welcome.

A stunning setting in a secluded part of the countryside while being in driving distance of the coast. The cottage itself is well stocked with many homely touches. An ideal location for a countryside getaway or exploring West Dorset

We really enjoyed our stay in Stoke Abbot, the location was lovely, very peaceful and the, garden and, views, were beautiful. The outside space was a bonus as, even though it was March the weather was good and, we could sit outside with our coffee and, admire the countryside around us including the pheasants and sheep. The owners left us a cake, miRead morelk and, eggs all of which were appreciated. We enjoyed the, atmosphere in the local pub which is, just a few yards along from the cottage. Hide

Lovely location with access to the owners garden, ideal for relaxing when the weather permits. Local pub (approx. 50 Yards away) serves good quality food and occasional themed nights ie Curry and Pie and a pint night. A car is definitely required and the ability to deal with the very narrow road.

A delightful cottage set in very colourful gardens in a traditional Dorset village. Within easy reach of some magnificent historic houses and gardens as well as some lovely coastal resorts. The local pub (the New Inn) serves a good range of food and is very welcoming.

The property was in a great position for visiting along the Dorset area. Some great walks. The owners were lovely. They chatted but not too much.

Great Holiday cottage, quiet and peaceful location but central to access local towns and coast . A nice plate of home made flapjacks and a few basics to welcome us . Facilities were great , giving a choice of two lounges and bedrooms. We took our dogs and slept downstairs which worked fine for us.
