Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is this charming cottage, which provides a great base for exploring North Devon beaches at Woolacombe (7 miles), Saunton (3 miles) and Croyde (5 miles). Saunton is dog-friendly all year round, making it a great choice for those with waggy tailed family members. Located less than 200 metres from the centre of town, the cottage is in easy reach of an array of shops, restaurants, pubs and a park for walking the hounds. Two bedrooms provide ample space for three guests and two dogs.
Stepping into the charming cottage, the lounge offers a welcoming space with a wood burner and inglenook fireplace taking centre stage. It’s the perfect addition to a chilly autumn evening whilst you enjoy a good book and a glass of wine. A traditional kitchen/diner awaits you, with plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy a hearty meal together. Cottage stairs lead to the first floor and the bedrooms, one of which is a double, and the bathroom with WC. For quiet days in, you can always enjoy home-cooked grub alfresco. Step outside through the bi-folding doors into the courtyard patio area for a peaceful spot to sit hidden from the world.
As well as the wonderful beaches nearby, those looking to explore the wider area will be hard pressed to find a better high street than Barnstaple (6 miles away), which has a market and independent shops alongside high street staples. Stretching your legs at Exmoor National Park (15 miles away) is another possibility, which has stunning landscape and riverside views. Dogs will appreciate the challenging terrain, but do be sure to take plenty of water for your canine pals.
