Need a lovely location for a larger group? This beautiful waterside cottage near Wroxham is a true rural paradise. It’s a detached house with its own private Norfolk Broad, along with a gated wooden jetty leading to it. The spacious property sleeps up to 12 so is ideal for a special occasion – two canine companions are welcome to join in the fun too.

The inside is decorated in eye-catching colours, with plenty of quirky touches to make it feel homely and welcoming. Look out for original features such as exposed wooden beams. There’s a porch area which is ideal for storing everyone’s walking boots – and for brushing off those muddy paws after energetic walks. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for group cooking, and there’s a spacious dining room for enjoying leisurely meals together – good if you’re celebrating a birthday or retirement. Two lounges, both with TVs, give you plenty of options for winding down. In one, you’ll find a wood burner which you can light on chillier evenings. Outside, the dogs will love running around on the lawn while the humans relax on the paved area which is kitted out with garden furniture.

The house is part of the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve where there’s plenty to keep you amused, be it fishing, walking or simply absorbing the views. Take Scruffy on long walks around the other broads – he’ll adore breathing in all those new scents. When the sea beckons, head to Waxham (12 miles) where you can buy a bag of chips and absorb coastal views – or have a dip in the sea if it’s a warm day. The neighbouring beach of Sea Palling (12.5 miles) is also worth sniffing out.

A fantastic holiday cottage. Superbly equipped for 11 of us that stayed there and 1 dog. Very welcoming and attended a minor fix that needed doing immediately. The surrounding cottage on the estate were very friendly and advised about local walks and history. Couldn't fault anything will definitely visit again 10/10 Thank you

Beautiful house in a brilliant location. Very comfortable and well equipped for our needs. Great decor and a lovely welcome of Easter eggs for our stay. Would love to go again in the Summer to make the most of the large garden / river views.

Lovely stay in a lovely house! I would warn the taller of you that some of the doorframes in particular are low - the tallest member of our family cracked his head a couple of times, so beware!

What a fabulous place to have a holiday, if you want peace and quiet it's the place to stay. Fishing and chilling out, looking for the otters which I managed to catch a glimpse of. Safe and secure environment for children with plenty of garden to enjoy.

This is our second visit; husband enjoy sittings at the end of the pier fishing; the dogs enjoy running around the enclosed garden. The wild life around the property is amazing. Property has lots of rooms to spread out and relax; great addition of the gas BBQ.

Beautiful cottage, very long lane to get to it. But worth it, backs onto beautiful views. Had the best weather so was able to sit outside in the garden both evenings. Well equipped kitchen, only thing we could find was a Jug for Pimms & lemonade but had plenty of glasses we made it in instead.

Beautiful location but disappointed by cottage. We felt that the cottage needs some updating.. Would benefit from a further bathroom due to number of bedroom. Generally felt that cost of a 2 night stay in this cottage does not represent value for money.
