Wonderfully suited to young families and dog loving groups of friends, this charming property in rural Cornwall is ideal for exploring the UK’s south coast. Close to the Heritage Coast, South West Coast Path and various seaside towns in Devon, this working farmhouse offers walking routes to go barking mad for. The property comfortably sleeps six guests and two dogs, but two further properties on the farm make it the perfect location for extended families holidaying together.
This delightfully light and spacious barn conversion has been lovingly decorated with a neutral and welcoming decor, featuring sturdy oak furniture and inviting soft furnishings. There’s plenty of space for your entire pack to unwind in the open-plan lounge, which brings resting, cooking and dining together into one sociable space. Settle into comfy sofas to watch a film on the TV, dogs dutifully resting by your feet. Let sleeping dogs lie of an evening and head to bed. Three bedrooms can all be found on the first floor and all offer remarkably comfortable accommodation. Your four-pawed pals will no doubt want to stretch their legs first thing in the morning, and this can be done at will on the enclosed patio.
Stay close to home and explore your surroundings, where a huge farm with endless gardens is free for you to explore and a farmland path offers access across adjacent fields. Sniff out adventure in the Hartland Heritage Coast, joining the South West Coast Path (5.5 miles) for unforgettable coastal routes. Cross the Devon border and head to Welcombe Mouth Beach (8 miles), a secluded spot where you’re welcome to let pups (and kids) splash in the sea. Continue your journey up to the pretty Speke’s Mill Mouth Waterfall (11 mile), leaving no stick unfetched in the glorious Devonshire countryside.
