A comfortable and cosy cottage lovingly decorated, yet still keeping many of its original features. It is tucked away in the heart of the village and is ideally located to the beach, ferry and pubs.
For families and friends, including four-legged ones, seeking to explore the South Cornwall coast, this cosy two-bedroom cottage is ideally situated in the picturesque fishing village of Polruan - close to many of the area’s popular towns and attractions. Spend your days walking the South West Coast Path to seek out one of the dog-friendly beaches, or to Looe (10 miles) and Polperro (6 miles) for a hearty meal in one of the traditional pubs where dogs are welcome.
Approached via stone steps, your traditional cottage enjoys a peaceful location on a pedestrianised lane. Step into the entrance hall where there is plenty of space to hang up leads and dry off muddy paws. Cook up a storm in the large kitchen/diner where there is ample room to feed the whole family, including canine members. Heading upstairs, you will find the first-floor lounge where you can unwind after a busy day outdoors; light the open fire and relax with your hound at your feet. For quieter moments, curl up with a good book in the snug. Continue to the second floor where the two bedrooms, a double and a twin, are located, both enjoying views across the river. The family bathroom is also on this floor. To the front of the cottage is a lovely patio area where you can dine alfresco as your pup snoozes in the sun. Parking is available at the nearby public car park (charges apply).
Only steps away from Polruan Quay, enjoy walks straight from the doorstep to the 14th-century blockhouse and along the coastal path. Hop on the dog-friendly ferry to Fowey to browse the independent stores and galleries, dine in one of the dog-friendly inns and hike along the headland for magnificent views. Sniff out your favourite route through The Lost Gardens of Heligan (25 miles) or explore the Eden Project’s (16 miles) miles of trails with your faithful friend at your side.
