This lovely cottage is part of a small complex of delightful properties in a tranquil setting on a working farm offering a nature trail, farm shop, cafe, games room and 100 acres of land to explore.

This quaint and cosy cottage is situated deep in the Durham Dales, a glorious landscape featuring majestic moorland, meandering rivers and sweeping hills. Just 2 miles from the sleepy village of Wolsingham, it’s the perfect bolthole for a romantic getaway accompanied by two tufty-pawed pals. Don your walking boots and set off to explore the surrounding farmland, visiting the animals and investigating riverside paths, nature trails and even an ancient monument. Return weary-pawed to a welcome pack containing mouth-watering scones, restoring your energy for a quick challenge in the shared games room.

Single-level and packed with home comforts, this delightful cottage is homely and welcoming. Relax on the sofa with a good book, or choose an exciting film to enjoy over a warming glass of red. Mealtimes are a real treat thanks to the country-cottage-style kitchen, where you can cook up a storm guaranteed to set Fido’s nose twitching. After a deliciously hot shower, retreat to the snug bedroom for a restful night’s sleep, dreaming of the next day’s adventures. The private seating area outside is an idyllic spot for a pot of fresh morning coffee, a peaceful setting for watching the farm come to life in the early morning dew.

Based just 3 miles from the North Pennines, you’ll be able to explore the fabulous countryside on foot, bike or even on horseback. The nearby village of Wolsingham has a very pooch-friendly pub, where your little pack will receive a warm welcome. Be sure to visit the historic city of Durham 15 miles away for an unforgettable day trip; the stunning architecture of the castle and cathedral alone is enough to transport you back in time. If you are feeling brave, climb the steep tower for awe-inspiring views!

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

The cottage was very light, clean and comfortable. It is in a great area, close to many walks, not far from Durham and only 26 miles from the coast. It was a very good pace for a holiday.

As I was traveling alone, I was happy to find that it was quiet but not isolated. The location was perfect as I had previously lived in the area and was visiting friends and old neighbors. The cottage had everything I needed and had a lovely feel.

A very clean and comfortable cottage in a quiet setting but with close access to Bradley Burn farm house shop and cafe. Well situated with good rod links for touring the local area.
