In the grounds of the owners’ home, this pretty property nestles adjacent to its sister hut, and has been lovingly fitted and furnished to provide a comfortable and romantic couples retreat.

The immediate area has much to offer including the owners’ extensive cottage garden which is featured in the NGS Open Garden Scheme. From here, a public footpath means that you can walk directly to Dartmoor National Park, taking in the beautiful Sydenham House and Estate along the way. Alternatively, jump in your car and head north and enjoy the stunning rugged coastline and long sandy beaches the area is famed for, or head south and spend a day exploring the quaint South Hams and historic Plymouth with its Hoe, Barbican and much more. Food lovers are well catered for with an array of country pubs in the nearby area, plus a farm shop and hotel serving award winning food nearby.  The Granite Way with its pretty country pubs along the route is popular for dog walking and cycling.  Alternatively visit one of the many National Trust Properties or explore Roadford Lake, Tavistock or Lydford Castle all within easy reach of this property

Stepping up into the adorable property, that has been lovingly named after a shepherdess who came to public attention when ITV chronicled the tough conditions of farmers in the High Pennines, you will immediately find yourself in the open-plan living/kitchen/sleeping area with double bed. After a day exploring, relax in front of the TV/DVD or use the guide books available to plan the following days’ adventures. The compact kitchen area is equipped with an electric double hob, and mini fridge with ice compartment.

Outside, there is a private and spacious shower room with WC that is specifically allocated to this property, this is located in a nearby converted barn and accessed via a short garden path. Directly outside the hut there is a small designated seating area with garden furniture and charcoal BBQ, and further to this you can enjoy access to the owners’ beautiful large enclosed garden which is part of the NGS Open Garden Scheme. Private off-road parking for one car is also provided.
