Have a ball discovering the spectacular Cornish coastline from the comfort of this charming property, which is perfectly suited for groups of up to four guests with an accompanying hound. Based just a 2-mile drive from the lively harbour town of Looe, you’ll soon be scampering along the shores of dog-friendly beaches and sampling delicious cream teas in style.
Featuring exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and classic wooden details, this converted barn is as cosy as it is stylish. On chilly nights, you’ll be able to snuggle up with Fido in the comfortable lounge, awaiting a delicious feast that’s been prepared in the cheerful kitchen. The open-plan living space also has a dining table with enough seating for your entire party, and plenty of room underneath for a hopeful pooch in search of a few titbits. At bedtime, the bedrooms are a restful haven for the weary traveller, especially when combined with a long soak in the generous bathroom. Outside, there’s a private seating area and shared access to the vast expanse of garden.
Looe itself is a wonderful place to while away an afternoon, browsing the pretty shops and choosing from an array of delightful eateries. Tufty-pawed pals are welcome on the ferry that connects the different sides of the harbour, but the beach itself has a year-round dog ban. Never fear – you and your sea dog can scamper along the dog-friendly shores of Plaidy Beach, 4 miles away, and Hannafore Beach, 4.5 miles away, instead throughout the year. If you are feeling adventurous, a hike along the Coast Path to Polperro is well worth the 5.5-mile stretch. If you are travelling by car, the fishing village is a 9-mile drive away.
