Situated in the beautiful Somerset countryside with panoramic views of the Mendip Hills and Glastonbury Tor. This well-appointed lodge is set down a quiet lane within the grounds of the owner’s home and makes a perfect retreat.

Situated in the beautiful Somerset countryside with panoramic views of the Mendip Hills and Glastonbury Tor, this rustic-style lodge is the ideal romantic retreat for two, plus one furry friend. With walking, cycling and running routes on the doorstep, even the most active doggy will be happy. Countryside and coast, woodland and heathland, you will enjoy hours of fetch, catch and tail-wagging walkies.

With your faces glowing from a day in the salty sea air or a brisk countryside walk, shake off damp fur and shed wet coats and boots, then step into the warm welcome of this single-storey retreat. The open-plan living space is compact and cosy, so settle your four-legged friend on his favourite blanket for a well-deserved snooze and relax into a snug evening with a welcome feast, a bottle of wine and a film. After a restful night, venture outside onto the decking with your morning coffee to relax and soak up the views over the cottage garden and the Mendips as your pup scampers in the morning dew. It is also a perfect place to enjoy a BBQ or cuddle up under a blanket whilst watching the sun go down.

Glastonbury (3 miles) has a shop, and the village pub is but a mile away – a great way to end an energetic day. Walking and cycling routes are also on your doorstep. Venture into the Stockhill woods (12.5 miles), pretty all year round with well-marked out footpaths that your dog will enjoy exploring. Further afield, Chew Valley Lake (20 miles) is an area of woodland and wildflower meadow. Close by are the historical Cathedral cities of Wells (8.5 miles) and Bath (25 miles), both with plenty of culture and amenities. Visit the sandy beaches of Burnham-on-Sea (25 miles) for hours of fun.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Beautifully set in the owner's splendid garden. The owner left good quality provisions including a lovely bottle of wine. Well equipped, plenty of hot water and heating and shower worked well. The double room is a little small for two people.

Very clean, everything works, heating effective, good shower, all kitchen functions. Lovely welcome with fresh fruit, staples, fresh milk, butter, and even a bottle of wine! I was there on my own with just my dog. The cabin is very petit and would be a squeeze for 2 people. Better in hot weather when better use of beautiful garden can be made.
