The perfect retreat for couples wanting to enjoy some quiet time together, set in a great location for walker’s, cyclists, historians and those who truly appreciate the beauty of the countryside.
Enjoy some quality time together with a trip to the Yorkshire Dales, where hikers and historians alike will fall in love with the glorious surroundings. Perfectly appointed for two couples holidaying together, this property happily sleeps four guests across two bedrooms. Naturally, it wouldn’t be a true walking holiday without the accompaniment of man’s best friend, so be sure to bring two canine companions along with you.
Head upstairs via external stone steps to find this charming property, kept homely, comfortable and cosy throughout. After a long day of exploring the Dales by foot (or by paw), settle into the snug lounge and switch on the TV, enjoying quality time together before heading to bed. The wood burner-effect gas fire creates a welcoming glow in the centre of the room and is no doubt where you’ll find your hounds happily snoozing away. Yorkshire sunlight floods the kitchen thanks to Velux windows and a skylight, whilst French doors allow easy access to an al fresco dining area. Let Fido and Rover have free reign of the outdoor space as you prepare dinner or enjoy a BBQ on the patio.
Be sure to spend time exploring historic Richmond, a traditional market town with charming medieval castle (0.5 miles) and the bustling River Swale (0.5 miles). Follow the river and sniff out some adventure in the nearby Yorkshire Dales, a sprawling Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with an abundance of sheep to chase and sticks to fetch. Jump in the car to enjoy long drives along the beautiful country roads, stopping off in Hubberholme (25 miles) and Kettlewell (29.5 miles) to view some of the area’s prettiest villages. Alternatively, head a little further north to discover the North Pennines AONB (23 miles), another option for an abundance of routes for walkies.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
