The property is quite spacious although quite gloomy in the kitchen and hall. Parking can be a problem if you return whilst the gallery is still open but we enjoyed our week there.

We love this property, this was the second time here and we will be back again. Beautiful, quiet location but close to so many activities. Its worth walking up through the village and into Whinlatter via the bridlepath, steep but stunning walk. The house itself is spacious and comfortable. It easily fits 6 people without feeling crowded.

A wonderful house in Thornthwaite that was even better than we were expecting from the photos. All rooms were clean and comfortable, and the walks up to Whinlatter from the front door are beautiful. It's an easy five minute drive to Keswick too.

Was very good place to stay. Perfectly placed just outside Keswick. Some lovely little walks to be had with a small child and dog. The dogs loved all the room in the cottage. Only issue we had was parking one day with all the visitors to the gallery taking up all the spaces. Despite our holiday being cut short by lockdown. We would definitely stay Read morehere again Hide

We had a lovely week in The Cloisters. The cottage is very spacious, and the bedrooms are cosy. It is perfectly situated to explore the Lakes and the surrounding coast. We even made a trip up to Hadrian's Wall on one day.

The cottage is very clean, comfortable, well equipped and in an outstanding location and we were not at all disappointed, everything matched or exceeded our expectations. There was a problem with the internet on arrival but Oliver came over straight away to fix it.

We have just spent a week in this property. The accommodation was lovely and clean with everything provided that you could need. The views over the mountains from the property are outstanding and the owners were very accommodating, even bringing our dog biscuit treats! We hope to stay here again in the not too distant future.

Beautiful! The house had a garden for the dog and plenty of space for our space to run around. The beautiful scenery all around kept the inlaws happy and the warm open plan living areas kept me happy. Our son has autism and the space both inside and outside meant he could run around and be safe.
