This comfortable and attractive property is situated in the grounds of the popular Waie Inn, a fantastic complex in a pretty and historic village in the heart of Devon. The complex has some wonderful facilities including an indoor swimming pool, children’s play areas, games rooms, squash courts and much more. Ideal for a family of five and one dog, this lovely property is perfect for exploring Devon’s beautiful countryside, with Dartmoor National Park just 15 miles away, and plenty of quaint villages with dog-friendly pubs to discover along the way. If you love fishing, why not make the most of the two carp lakes near by?

This bright, welcoming and relaxing cottage is a lovely holiday home, with a spacious lounge where you can unwind, sit back and enjoy a movie at the end of a great day. You can enjoy a hearty meal in the stylishly designed kitchen/diner, and you will find three cosy bedrooms to reset the mind and body in overnight before a new day of adventures. You will have free use of the shared heated indoor swimming pool, as well as access to the complex’s many activities including snooker, a skittle alley and a five-a-side all-weather pitch. There’s also a large outdoor children’s adventure playground with zip slides.

The bustling town of Crediton is just 9 miles away and features a choice of restaurants, shops and dog-friendly pubs. You could head into the historic city of Exeter (17 miles) or explore the dramatic landscape of Dartmoor National Park (11 miles). Among many popular attractions which welcome dogs include the National Trust’s Killerton Estate (21 miles). The glorious southern coast is a little further afield, with plenty of beautiful rural and coastal walks to enjoy, with plenty of dog-friendly pubs to discover.

Such a brilliant place to stay and they had thought of everything. There was a very useful stairgate on the bottom of the stairs and plenty of cutlery and crockery to save on washing up etc. The views over the rolling hills from the private patio were beautiful and we enjoyed some quiet time enjoying the views once our children were asleep. Waie Inn is an amazing place. Indoor pool is never crowded. Outdoor play area has loads of equipment in good condition. Indoor play area is great and well laid out. We went away with our 4 year old granddaughter for the week, Staying at Friars Cottage. Cottage was roomy, clean and well equipped. We also played skittles. Our whole family enjoyed our stay at Friar's Cottage. It was both clean and comfortable. We swam every day and used the soft play twice. Both are very well kept and organised, the booking system really works well to keep numbers minimal, in fact sometimes we had the pool to ourselves! This was the ideal holiday for our grand children, aged 9 and 12. The daily pool visit was a huge hit. The other facilities kept them occupied at all times and we could allow them to venture out on their own, knowing the small family site was a safe environment for them to play. Great cottage. Our granddaughter loved on-site soft play, swimming, park and visiting the animals. Staff all friendly and helpful. Enjoyed two meals out in the Inn.
