Superb stone cottage with lots of character set in the village of Reeth, it's a fabulous place for day trips into Swaledale and Wensleydale with dramatic scenery of the Yorkshire Dales.
This gorgeous traditional stone cottage in the Yorkshire Dales will receive a whole lot of puppy love. The area is a dog walker’s paradise, with both long and short walks from your doorstep – and there are breathtaking views from many of the rooms, making the property a romantic retreat for couples. The welcome hamper is a lovely touch too.
Inside, the cottage is bursting with character, with features including exposed brickwork, overhead wooden beams and decorative wall plaques. Leave behind muddy walking boots and dog coats in the porch before stepping into the welcoming lounge, with its contemporary Scandi-style furniture and warming wood burner nestled in the stone hearth. In the stylish kitchen, rustle up a hearty meal using local produce, and mull over the events of the day as you tuck in. Upstairs, both bedrooms boast lovely views and Smart TVs for watching your favourite shows on Netflix while snuggled up in bed. Outside is a gated patio area set behind a white picket fence. Fire up the BBQ to dine alfresco in summer or simply admire the views while enjoying a coffee as Fido chews on a bone.
As the property is tucked away just off the village green in Reeth, you can enjoy the peace of the countryside but still have the benefit of charming shops and pubs within 500 metres where both dogs and humans are given a warm Yorkshire welcome. For some of the most jaw-dropping scenery in the Dales, travel 12 miles for a drive across the mountainous Buttertubs Pass that connects Swaledale to Wensleydale. For a bit more hustle and bustle, head to the leafy market town of Richmond, 11 miles away. Visit the famous castle with your four-legged friend to take in the beautiful views.
