Set in peaceful surroundings on the owner’s farmstead with its resident pony, chickens and ducks, and just 10 miles from the idyllic – and dog-friendly – seaside town of Bude, this charming detached log cabin provides cosy accommodation for a small family or a couple, and their four-legged friend. This is a lovely holiday home for you to relax in, and an ideal base for exploring the glorious countryside and breathtaking coastline of both Cornwall and Devon.

This fresh and attractive open-plan lodge features vaulted ceilings with exposed whitewashed beams, ceiling trusses and wooden flooring, and has been imaginatively and tastefully decorated. You can relax with a good book or a movie in the cheerful lounge and enjoy a meal and chat about the day’s events in the charming dining area. The cabin also features two comfortable double bedrooms, each with stylish decor and antique furniture. Patio doors lead to a lovely partially-covered decked area where you can enjoy a meal or a drink. In the summer you can enjoy a BBQ in the pergola area with its fragrant seasonal climbing roses. The surrounding fields are perfect for walking the dog.

The popular coastal resort of Bude offers a choice of wonderful dog-welcoming beaches including Summerleaze and Breakwater, or you could try some quieter destinations including Widemouth Beach (10 miles) and the National Trust’s Northcott Mouth Beach (11.5 miles). You can enjoy a cliff-top walk near Morwenstow (16.5 miles) or visit picturesque villages including Clovelly (22 miles), Boscastle (19.5 miles) and Westward Ho! (25 miles). Heading inland, the traditional town of Holsworthy (4 miles) offers a choice of shops, tearooms, dog-friendly pubs, a pannier market and a cattle market. The rugged landscape of Dartmoor offers fantastic walking opportunities (23 miles).

Amazing views and the cottage was lovely and had everything you would require during your stay. Amazing hosts Geoff and Roz were so welcoming, friendly and approachable. Really friendly welcoming owners, the warm scones were a lovely treat ( though still debating the jam/cream scenario!) Access to the enclosed 20acre fields for long dog walks an added bonus which our dog Mojito thoroughly enjoyed. Baloo their dog was gorgeous and very friendly- made it more enjoyable for Mo! A lovely place, hidden away on the country lanes but what a beautiful little place to stay. Not far from plenty of visitable areas; we took in Bude, Bocastle, Port Isaac, Newquay, Padstow, Widemouth Bay, so lots to do!

Cottage was cosy, clean and well equipped and although hard to find was set in beatiful gardens with loads of wildlife and birds.

Welcoming, comfortable, homeley, peaceful - an oasis of calm and I could have stayed for ever. Set in a wonderful rural location with easy access to Bude, it's the perfect place to spend a lazy day or come back to after a day spent exploring the area. Highly recommend fox folly! We had the best time here, Roz made the most amazing scones for us on arrival which was super sweet! Perfect 2 bed cottage with a well equipped kitchen. Also, ample garden space that is fully gated for our dog Mash to zoom around which was great! Please do yourself a favour and book yourself a stay here :)

great cottage next door to the owners, on site in a small holding, opposite working farms & 25 minutes from Bude & surrounding beaches, a little gem, dog friendly, lovely trees, birds, & a field to walk your dog in. A safe haven to base from, warm and cosy, great veranda, space to park next to the cottage, basic requirements all met for a short staRead morey. We were there in the winter, so wellies required and a good car wash after as the narrow Cornwall roads are muddy. Bude beaches access 25mins. Hide

Lovely, compact, cosy cabin which was a treat to return too after exploring harbours, fishing villages, beaches & coves within Cornwall & Devon on an Autumn holiday. Set within grounds that enable views out to the countryside/gardens from all the rooms. It made washing up & brushing your teeth an enjoyable task!! The cottage was beautiful really clean nice decor very comfortable. We all really enjoyed our stay . The hosts were very friendly and very helpful we all enjoyed the apples off the tree what a treat just to pick an apple very delicious. Thank You For A Wonderful Stay .

We had a really lovely holiday. Foxs Folly was perfect for the 4 of us offering a quiet and well-situated place to relax. The children enjoyed the grounds, the tree swing and making firm friends with Baloo. As a family we found the deck and bbq area a great place to enjoy the warm weather. We loved this quirky property, its quite small but extremely clean and comfortable. We were two adults and two teenagers and a dog! The grounds are extensive, there a large swing, tree house, a couple of big seating areas and a bbq. Our dog loved all the space and made friends with Baloo the lovely dog who lives here. Excellent location. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Beautifully clean accommodation. Lovely comfortable facilities both indoors and outdoors. We had a really lovely stay at Fox's Folly. Owners were wonderful hosts and their dog, Baloo was adorable. Fantastic location within easy reach of the best beaches and other attractions. North Cornwall has always been a fabulous area and one we will continue to go back to. A lovely break all round. It's just a shame we couldn't stay

A fantastic holiday setting with lovely, welcoming owners which instantly made us feel at home. The cottage is expertly styled and with so much green space around, it really is an escape into nature! Lovely little cottage. Small but very comfortable. Contained everything needed. If weather had been nicer there would have been plenty of decking space to use. Plenty of garden space for the children and an amazing tree house
