You will be beaming from ear-to-ear, just like Wallace and Gromit when you stay at this stunning converted barn in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. An area not only famous for its cheese, it is positioned on the edge of Wensleydale with spectacular wildflower-filled countryside all around, outdoor lovers will be spoilt for choice. Sleeping five across three tranquil bedrooms and plenty of room for up to two furry friends, you will be chomping at the bit to pull on your walking boots and start exploring.
This property is set to impress with its characterful exposed beams, comfortable light-filled rooms and pretty enclosed garden, perfect for four-legged family members to run safely. Relax and soak up the morning sunshine as you listen to birdsong on the patio with a steaming cup of coffee. The open plan lounge/kitchen/diner space invites you all to gather together, cook up a storm and share your stories around a country-style dining table. Light up the wood burner as evening approaches and sink back into the reclining sofa while your canine companions curl up at your feet. Sunnier evenings will tempt you to light up the BBQ and sizzle up a sausage or three. Sleepy heads don’t have far to go with all three bedrooms located on the ground floor; soak away any aching muscles in a freestanding bath in the master bedroom.
There is so much to explore, you may need to stay even longer. The nearby town of Bedale is 4 miles away where you can nibble morsels of local cheese in the cobbled square or jump on the dog -friendly Wensleydale heritage railway, 6 miles away and take in the views, sounds and smell of steam locomotive – tongues hanging out is optional! Discover Aysgarth Falls, 15 miles away and enjoy a meal in the nearby café.
