Drink in the panoramic estuary views from your balcony at this tranquil escape, which lies on Ferryside’s waters’ edge. You and your furry best friend will go mutts for all the activities and things to do on your doorstep, from coastal walks and fishing to exploring woodland and market towns. Sleeping four, it’s a great location for small families or groups of friends in need of a little sea air.

Decorated with a gentle nautical theme throughout, there’s no forgetting where you are at this property. Designed in an upside-down style, you’ll find the bright and clean open-plan lounge on the first floor, overlooking the estuary. Relax and watch the boats sail by as you sip your morning coffee on the balcony or plan your day at the well-positioned dining table. In addition to the balcony, you can dine alfresco with the water as the perfect dinner backdrop. One single bedroom can be found on this floor, with a further single and the master double with estuary views on the ground floor, where you can fall asleep to the sounds of the shore. There is private parking for one car available at the property.

Enjoy river and sea fishing, water sports, and coastal walks from your doorstep, making this the perfect coastal getaway. For more rustic and energetic walkies though, head inland to Brechfa Forest (21.5 miles) – a haven for pups and their owners; here you can hike the big climbs and descents or simply mooch about in the gentler tracks. For a trip back in time, head to the dog fur-endly castles at Kidwelly (3.5 miles), Carmarthen (10 miles) and Llansteffan (17.5 miles).

  • 3 bedrooms – 1 double and 2 singles

The only thing we found was that there was no local shop in the village which would of been nice. We had a lovely stay.

Beautifully furnished and comfortable cottage with all amenities. The sunsets from the balcony were spectacular. This is a quiet spot in a lovely part of Wales, with loads of beaches and attractions within easy reach, dont let the train station put you off, it really isnt a problem.

If you're fond of peace and quiet and beaches to yourself, this is the place for you. However, a car is essential as there are no shops for 3.5 miles. Beautiful accommodation and location, great place to unwind, to get back to nature, with lovely places to go to not very far away if wished for by road or the local railway (withlinks to London Paddington!), although staying in the accommodation itself is a treat in itself sitting on the lovely balcony looking out over the Estuary / to the castle.
