A spacious rural retreat in a sleepy village located within the gorgeous Nidderdale area, within driving distance of the cosmopolitan Harrogate, offering a best of both worlds' getaway to the Dales.
This cosy cottage in the tranquil village of Summerbridge is an ideal rural retreat for couples and their canine companion. Nestled amongst the rolling hills of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are plenty of walks on your doorstep, allowing all of you to soak up the stunning scenery. This property offers guests the chance to enjoy the country life with the village’s pubs and amenities within 1.5 miles; for something more cosmopolitan, the vibrant spa town of Harrogate is only 10 miles away. Alternatively, stay in and relax in the luxurious roll-top bath.
This attractive, characterful, stone cottage has plenty of original features, but the use of a palette of whites and creams throughout gives it a contemporary feel and creates a sense of light and space. The L-shaped, open-plan living area has a modern, well-equipped kitchen and stylish glass dining table, whilst tucked around the corner, the lounge feels snug and welcoming with its wood burner. Upstairs, you will find the stunning king-size bedroom with its sloping ceilings and exposed beams and an exquisite bathroom with free-standing bath and separate shower. Outside, there is an enclosed courtyard, where you can enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.
The charming market town of Pateley Bridge (4.5 miles) is typical of this area and has an array of independent shops/eateries. Within the Nidderdale AONB, there are plenty of walking trails that two-legged and four-legged guests of all abilities will enjoy; for something different, head to the National Trust’s Brimham Rocks to marvel at the amazing rock formations. If your furry friend needs a rest day, you could head to RHS Harlow Carr (12.5 miles) or Ripley Castle (6 miles); both offer lovely days out, but dogs aren’t allowed. Harrogate is definitely worth a visit, as is Ripon (13 miles).
