This charming cottage, set in the idyllic seaside village of Rye Harbour, is great for families looking for a peaceful seaside escape with their four-legged friend. Sleeping four across two stylish bedrooms, this delightful property offers space for one canine companion, meaning the whole family can discover this jewel of the Sussex coast together. And with beachside walks and the Rye Harbour Nature Reserve right on your doorstep, there’s plenty to keep tails wagging all holiday long.

Inside, the cosy interior is full of nods to the sea. Step through the front door into the spacious hallway. It’s a great place to slip off your shoes and dust off sandy paws. Then unwind in the open-plan living and dining area. Kick back on the generous sofa or curl up on the gorgeous wingback armchair, providing Mutley doesn’t beat you to it. It’s a lovely place to listen to the sea or the vintage record player. Upstairs, you’ll find two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, with plenty of space for that all-important doggy dozer. Outside, lazy Labs will love lounging on the patio area while you enjoy some al fresco dining. And as the garden is enclosed, there’s no need to worry about Rover wandering off.

The historic market town of Rye is only 2 miles away and features a beautiful array of independent shops, cafes and dog-friendly pubs. Take in a stroll along the pebbled beaches or venture up to Camber Sands (6.5 miles) for a taste of the great British seaside. The Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is just 300 metres away with over 1,000 acres to explore on two legs or four.

This is a lovely cottage in Rye Harbour, with a pub just round the corner which has a lovely Cypriot menu. There are many walks that can be done direct from the cottage door in Rye Harbour Nature Reserve. Dogs are allowed! Bikes can be hired from around the corner and there are many tracks suitable for bikes on the nature reserve. We visited with mRead morey daughter and grandson (5 months old). We were able to do several walks with the buggy or with my grandson in a carrier. Would love to return! Hide

Fantastic property, beautiful location and the cottage has everything you need. Pub and cafe in 2 minutes walk from the property. Beautiful walks and bird watching is a must. Only draw back if you like a lay in the cottage is on the main road into Rye Harbour and is noise.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, homely, comfortable and in a great location to visit lots of different places. The welcome pack was a nice touch as were the dog treats. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

A beautiful cottage, well-equipped, light, quiet and very comfortable. The location is excellent, in the quiet village of Rye Harbour, minutes from the shop, pub and excellent cafe (The Bosun's Bite). And important for us, minutes from the amazing Rye Harbour Nature Reserve with its shingle shore, saltmarsh, lagoons, bird and plant life, and DiscovRead moreery Centre. Only 1.5 miles from the beautiful town of Rye which is easily accessible by the regular bus route. Hide

This property is in a great location for Rye Nature Reserve, which is brilliant for dog walking. There is, however, only on street parking, which means it is not always possible to find a space close to the house.

This was our third stay at Flobea which says it all. Cottage is comfortable and nicely decorated. Location is good, local shop has a good range of basics and the pub was convenient for a couple of tasty meals when we had had a busy day and didnt want to drive or both fancied a drink with dinner.

Lovely location, the nature reserve was perfect for morning and evening walks with our dog, especially when the tide was in. The William the Conqueror, just around the corner from the cottage was ideal for meals, friendly staff and good choice of food, also good choice of places in Rye, really liked the Standard Inn.

It is in the heart of Rye Harbour Village, opposite the Village Stores, next to the bus stop (regular buses to Rye) and two minutes from the Bosun's Bite cafe (highly recommended for breakfast and lunch), the RNLI station/shop, and the William the Conqueror Pub.
