Situated on a traditional Cornish farm with animals on-site, and an array of attractions in the area to keep the whole family entertained.
This pretty property, situated on a working farm in the heart of the Cornish countryside, is perfect for your little family – including the pups! Sleeping three across two warm and welcoming bedrooms with enough space for the hounds to snooze, this cottage is the ideal place to embrace rural life without being cut off from bustling towns and cities like Truro (8 miles). Head off to Perranporth Beach (4 miles) for a leisurely walk and some ice cream from one of the many parlours or arrange for a dog sitter with the owner and explore Newquay Zoo and the aquarium (5.5 miles).
The property, which has its own balcony that’s accessed from the outside, is spacious and comfortable. The farmhouse-style kitchen is fresh and bright with exposed beams and views out to the garden, while hammocks and seating in the enclosed garden offer the ideal spot to enjoy a book in the summer sun with a glass of wine. At bedtime, retire to the cosy bedrooms that have their own mezzanine levels; soft decor and thoughtful furnishings ensure a refreshing night’s sleep when you’re dog-tired after a day out exploring.
The entire family can go out and discover this beautiful part of the country together. Step onto the Lappa Valley Steam Railway (4 miles) for a peaceful ride, stopping off at the play areas, nature trails and crazy golf. Try your hand at surfing on Crantock (5 miles) or watch the boats come in with their daily catch on Harbour Beach in Newquay (6 miles). Further afield but still within easy reach is the Eden Project (24.5 miles), which has the largest indoor rainforest in the world and welcomes dogs on the footpaths in the outdoor gardens.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
