A lovely apartment in Devon’s South Hams, which has been classed as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This ground-floor apartment sits in a handsome detached house which has been converted to three dog-friendly holiday properties. A shared enclosed garden gives guests space to relax outdoors, whilst a pleasant 1.5-mile walk leads guests and their four-legged friends down to the unspoilt beach at Lannacombe, which welcomes dogs all year round.

On arrival at this one-bedroomed apartment, you will be able to make yourselves at home in the welcoming open-plan living space. In one corner of the room, a sofa and armchair will give you space to relax in front of the TV, whilst Fido curls up at your feet. The kitchen area sits overlooking the living and dining areas, whilst in the bedroom, there is a four-poster double bed. The bathroom has a shower-over-bath, whereas a shared laundry room is a handy addition to the complex, particularly if you end up getting muddy on one of your walks with your dog. The property’s shared garden is accessed across a small, quiet lane, making it easy to pop across with a cup of tea to enjoy at the garden table and chairs.

The apartment is situated in a wonderfully quiet countryside location with the South West Coast Path running less than two miles from the property’s front door and offering glorious walks which are bound to be loved by walkers of the human and canine kind. Two miles away in the village of East Prawle a traditional pub is not only known for its real ales and delicious menu but is also home to a fabulous music venue which has played host to big names such as Damon Albarn, Atomic Kitten, and The Boomtown Rats. Better still, they welcome pups as well as rock stars!

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Very helpful and friendly hosts and the property had all the facilities needed. Access to the fields for walking our dogs was a real bonus with a great view! We already knew the area well and were down for reasons other than a holiday but did visit Dartmouth and experienced the buzz of the regatta for the first time during our stay. We ate at the GRead morelobe in Frogmore one day and the food was very good and also The Britannia Cafe at Beesands were the fish was just as fresh and tasty as ever. Hide

In the middle of the South Devon countryside, a 30 min. walk from the beach. Fantastic location, beautiful house, lush gardens and very charming hosts. We had a wonderful time staying at Ferndale House (great weather, too), and would recommend this place to our friends.
