This charming country cottage is a perfect retreat for dog-owning couples or families eager to explore the Scottish Highlands. Surrounded by breathtaking walks and abundant natural beauty right at your doorstep, come home to the roaring open fire and private garden at this warm and welcoming abode.
The open-plan kitchen/diner is the central gathering spot where you can enjoy hearty dinners and leisurely lunches while planning your daily adventures. The cosy sitting room features a lovely open fire, creating a warm and inviting space for games, movie nights, and relaxation on chilly evenings with Rover curled up at your feet. Rounding off the ground floor is a convenient cloakroom. Upstairs, you’ll find two well-appointed bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds, as well as a bathroom for a relaxing soak at the end of the day. Outside, the cottage has its own private patio and garden area with garden furniture, making it the perfect place to sit back and watch Fido explore his new surroundings. Adjacent to this cottage is Fassfern House, which can accommodate up to ten guests and is accessible via an adjoining lockable door between the two properties. This allows you to book both cottages together, providing ample space for a larger group of guests. There are also two other properties available for booking on this site.
Situated within the extensive Fassfern Estate, from the cottage’s front door, you can embark on a multitude of tail-wagging walks, whether it’s meandering along tree-lined paths or trekking up the nearby hills to enjoy stunning vistas of Loch Eil and the iconic Ben Nevis. The village of Corpach, complete with shops, restaurants, and a dog-friendly pub, lies 5.5 miles away. Fort William is a 9.5-mile drive and serves as the gateway to Ben Nevis, with spectacular hikes for adventurous hounds.
