It is situated in the Quantocks Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and footpaths right from the garden take you to Kings Cliff Wood which is ideal for walking dogs, mountain biking or horse riding. Somerset is a county filled with beautiful lanes, stunning views and unique crafts in every town. You will be well placed for visiting Taunton, Exeter and the famous beaches of Weston-Super-Mare or Kilve (for fossil hunting). Also nearby are Wells, Bath, Glastonbury, Stonehenge and Bruton - home of the Hauser & Wirth gallery and Roth Grill restaurant.
From the private drive you will walk across the lawn to the rear of the property. This will lead you directly into the large, well-lit kitchen. It boasts plenty of style and an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.From here you will proceed into the dining room with a decorative, original fireplace. To your right is the sitting room, a spacious, south-facing room. You’ll find it hard to drag yourself away, from the comfortable sofas and chairs, traditional games, a fabulous fireplace with wood burner and TV with YouView. Going back into the dining room and walking onwards will bring you to the open, cottage-style stairs that lead to the first floor. These stairs are not suitable for young children or people with mobility issues. From this point on you will be walking on the original 1860 floorboards. To the right, is the large, sunny bathroom which overlooks the private garden, with a shower over bath new for 2019 and WC. Straight ahead is the Blue Room, a sweet twin room (can be made into a king-size on request). To your left is the Moroccan Bedroom with an iron-framed double bed and a south-facing window, where countryside views can be enjoyed from the two carver armchairs.
Outside is a private, enclosed garden with lawn and patio where you can relax and enjoy a BBQ. There is also a doggy wash station for your four-legged friends and off-road parking for four cars on the private drive. Sitting out in the garden you will hear all kinds of wildlife. As you near the house, there is a grass bank that takes the garden down to the ground floor with concrete steps with a secure iron handrail for you to walk down.
