This elegant home on the Applecross Estate is surrounded by hills and woodland with lovely countryside walks from the doorstep
This spacious apartment sleeps four guests and one canine chum. Set on a 64,000-acre estate, you won’t be short of gorgeous walks straight from the front door; from beaches to lochs and woodland to rivers. Further afield, bask in the peace and tranquillity of The Highlands and the breathtaking scenery of its rugged coastline. The apartment can be booked in conjunction with the neighbouring property for larger gatherings.
The property embraces open-plan living, so there’s plenty of space for the whole party to spread out. A large bay window bathes the living area in natural light; this is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy breakfast at the round table whilst admiring the local wildlife. Sink into the comfy sofas after a long walk and fire up the wood burner so you and the dog can enjoy a well-deserved afternoon nap. Outside, there’s a shared grass area surrounding the property for the four-legged one to burn off some steam. Although, to be honest, this is paled into insignificance by the vast estate at your fingertips/paws!
Accessed only by two roads, the remote Applecross Peninsula is the perfect place to switch off and recharge. Known for its dramatic landscape, you’ll be blown away by the sheer unspoilt beauty. Not the time to forget your camera! Head to the coast (4 miles away) and enjoy an exhilarating 3-mile walk from Sand Beach to Applecross Bay, where you’ll have fantastic views over Skye, Raasay and Rona. Dogs are permitted on both beaches all year. On a hot summer’s day, take a trip to the shady serenity of Rassal Ashwood (14 miles away) where you’ll find the most northerly ash woodland in Britain. In the evening, wander into Applecross (1 mile away) and enjoy great food in the dog-friendly pub or restaurant.
