Enjoying an elevated location with views across horse paddocks and mature woodland, this traditionally built shepherds hut with private hot tub is simply perfect for couples wanting to escape everyday life.

Swap the hustle and bustle for stick chasing and scampering across the sweeping countryside of beautiful Herefordshire, choosing this enchanting retreat as your cosy base. Sleeping two humans and two hounds, this delightful shepherds hut is ideal for relaxing, boasting a bubbling hot tub, panoramic views and a crackling wood burner for extra special evenings curled up with a glass of wine and tasty treats. Set just 5 miles from Hereford, you’ll be spoilt for choice of where to explore first, whether you follow the winding Offa’s Dyke trail, or sniff out adventure in the Forest of Dean.

Surrounded by windswept hills and rolling farmland, this quiet haven enjoys a secluded position within its own private paddock. Pop a log on the wood burner and let sleeping dogs lie as you rustle up a tempting supper in the kitchen area, which has country cottage-style decor and wooden cabinetry. At bedtime, the sumptuous double bed is a tempting spot for the weary pawed and doubles as a comfortable spot for catching up with some TV viewing. There is a separate hut with a shower and WC, and a summerhouse with a BBQ for leisurely al fresco dining.

Grab the leads and embark on your travels, discovering the array of market towns and chocolate-shop villages at your disposal. Hay-on-Wye is an iconic destination for book lovers, whilst Hereford itself has oodles of independent shops, galleries and eateries to peruse. Sample some mouth-watering nearby cuisine such as locally reared beef, artisan cheeses and lovingly brewed cider. Keen fishermen will appreciate the ambience of the meandering River Wye which is a hot spot for salmon, barbel and chub, and there are several popular golf courses within 14 miles to tempt enthusiasts.

Amazing view, couldn't beat it! Greeted by Sam & shown down to the hut. Everything explained and then left on our own to relax. Sounds of bleating sheep, chickens & horses (& the occasional tractor) it really was a fab stay. We visited pubs for lunch then back to the hut for drinks & nibbles to watch the sun go down. The hot tub was a nice treat toRead moreo. Not the cheapest get-a-way but certainly was a very comfortable, clean and tidy place to stay. Highly recommend it. Really enjoyable stay. Hide
