Relax in the cosy lounge with your dog curled up at your feet, exhausted after a long day of fetching and digging. On warmer evenings, enjoy an evening tipple or final glass of wine in the delightul cottage garden, letting Fido bask in the last of the day’s sun. When it’s time to retire, you can climb the stairs and collapse into bed, leaving your man’s best friend comfortably dreaming downstairs.

You’ll find six local pubs within a 5-mile radius, all of which welcome your four-legged friends and make excellent stop-off points on a long dog walk. The surrounding High Weald AONB offers plenty of longer dog walking opportunities, including a fascinating 6-mile medieval trail around nearby Burwash (12.5 miles). Take in Sussex’s remarkable history whilst your pup hunts for ancient bones, stopping to explore the dog-friendly National Trust estate of Bateman’s (13.5 miles), the historic home of Rudyard Kipling.
