Set in an elevated position above the Perthshire countryside, this quintessential cottage is top dog for families and small groups with a love of the outdoors. Let Rover take the lead as you pad along scenic trails, taking in the spectacular views and spotting resident wildlife. On your return, uncork a bottle of wine and settle down to unwind with a delicious meal and a fireside snooze. The owners have even provided a welcome basket laden with goodies including tasty treats and local produce.

Kick-off your boots at the top of a small flight of stairs, ready to enter your cosy abode. The charming interior is brimming with homely details such as cosy seating and a roaring wood burner in the lounge, providing the ideal setting for relaxing with a wee dram. The delightful country-cottage kitchen/diner is perfectly equipped for leisurely breakfasts and hearty suppers, best enjoyed under the careful supervision of hopeful hounds. Two stylish bedrooms await the weary-pawed adventurer, and there is a fabulous bathroom with a shower-over-bath for long soaks. Outside, a beautiful garden surrounds the property, safely enclosed for Rex to play against a stunning backdrop of sweeping countryside. There is a BBQ for al fresco suppers, and ample parking.

Treat yourself to a slice of luxury at Gleneagles 12.5 miles away, which has a multitude of activities and facilities from restaurants to three championship golf courses. Further afield, the fair city of Perth 13.5 miles away straddles the banks of the River Tay and offers an array of independent shops, eateries and amusements to amuse human and hound alike. Gorgeous outlook and lovely decor within. Although relatively close to the A9 you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. It was lovely and quiet. The owner was attentive and easy to get on with. Would recommend.
