Enjoy glorious views over Whiting Bay to the Holy Isle from the patio of this pretty cottage on the eastern edge of the Isle of Arran.
This superb property, situated in an elevated position looking over Whiting Bay to the Holy Isle, is ideal for your family – including up to two four-legged members! Sleeping four humans across two cosy bedrooms and with plenty of room for the pups to snooze, it won't be long before you're heading down to the mile of golden sands that are under 350 metres from your door. With a small unenclosed burn running at the sides of the garden, this holiday home is a peaceful place to return to after a long day visiting castles, beaches and country parks in the south-east of the Isle of Arran.
The property, set just half a mile from the centre of the village, is spacious and comfortable. Laid out on one level, the fresh and bright lounge boasts wonderful views of the garden and bay, while the dining room offers the perfect spot to enjoy your meals and chat around the fire with the canines resting at your feet. At bedtime, head to one of the tranquil rooms; wake up surrounded by soft, pretty decor and head down to the partly enclosed garden with your morning coffee, taking in the morning on the patio furniture.
Head into the village for an array of cafes, pubs and shops, or if golf is your thing, Whiting Bay Golf Club is just 160 metres' walk from the property. Further north, you'll find Brodick Castle and Country Park (10.5 miles) which boasts pretty gardens with views of the mountain of Goat Fell, while to the south, Kildonan Beach (4 miles) is home to what's known as the ‘Silver Sands' and is ideal for walking the dogs before heading to a pup-friendly pub.
