Luxurious house perfect for a relaxing rural retreat with wood burner ideal for those cooler evenings and fully enclosed garden with a fantastic private hot tub and play barn with indoor tennis

This fantastic property, situated between the A85 and A9 for easy access to Perth (11.5 miles), is perfect for families and friends looking for a relaxing yet sociable space for their Scottish holiday, that they can enjoy with their loyal hounds too. Sleeping seven over three sumptuous bedrooms and with plenty of space for up to three dogs to snooze, it won’t be long before you’re all feeling invigorated and ready to discover the peaceful Perthshire countryside. Take the whole pack to Scone Palace (13 miles) and run around in the acres of woodland gardens.

The property, which is surrounded by 100 acres of wonderful private countryside, is bright and airy. The kitchen/diner has a stunning contemporary farmhouse feel, while the lounge feels rustic and cosy with a wood burner for the hounds to curl up in front of. Enjoy superb views of the grounds from the sunroom, curled up with a book on the sofa, or watch the kids go mutts in the play barn playing tennis or badminton. If that’s all a bit much for you, bubble away in the hot tub in the enclosed garden while the BBQ sizzles for an al fresco dinner.

Everyone’s welcome at the Scottish Crannog Centre (28 miles) where you can learn about the ancient loch dwellings that date back about 5,000 years. The military history at the Black Watch Castle and Museum (11 miles) is also well worth a visit. See the animals at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre (17 miles) or have a go on their mini-golf course. Stroll the grounds of Castle Campbell (26 miles) which is dramatically situated above Dollar Glen, with steep ravines on three sides. Close by, Crieff (8 miles) has plenty of pubs and restaurants that are signed up to the town’s three-course ‘Doggy Dining’ menu!

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Perfection. We have had a wonderful peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings. We explored every morning then returned mid afternoon to enjoy the gorgeous house. Lying back in the hot tub stargazing with just fields for company. We loved all the games in the barn, swinging on the swing and even croquet on the lawn! The outside was perfect for our Read moredog with all the space. The house was amazing loved all the luxurious touches, my husband said the shower was the best he had ever had! I could go on! Hide

Had a fantastic stay at Dunedin, the house was lovely and in a beautiful part of Perthshire. We loved the hot tub and the robes provided were great. The owner had very kindly left milk, butter, eggs, bread and biscuits which was a lovely gesture. Highly recommend and would definitely return.

A delightful property. Really well appointed and furnished. Perfect for a family holiday with teenagers who could have space of their own, a secure store for bikes and a tennis knock around space. The hot tub went down a treat and the kitchen was well equipped for a range of cooking. There are excellent farm shops nearby with products supplied for Read moreour arrival. Our host (unobtrusively) checked the hot tub each day which made us feel safe. Definitely recommend. Hide

Wonderful peaceful location to chill out. Nice decor and plenty of space (4 of us with 3 dogs). If you enjoy a BBQ in the evenings followed by relaxing in the hot tub while stargazing this is the place to be. Friendly host and nice surprises in the locally sourced welcome pack. Would go back tomorrow if we could.

If you really want to get away from it all and relax in comfort then this is definitely the perfect place. Lots of space and very well equipped. It was perfect for my family and I took my elderly dad, the downstairs bedroom and bathroom was perfect for him, while we had upstairs.
