Enjoying a rural location on the edge of the quaint village of Monyash. Make the most of the sunny gardens with a BBQ and direct access to walks and cycle routes through beautiful scenery.
Commanding a delightful location at the heart of the Peak District, this beautifully converted farm building is perfectly situated for a fabulous couples’ retreat – accompanied by your furry friends, of course. You’ll have access to numerous picturesque country walks, and in Monyash and nearby Buxton there are some great dog-friendly cafes and pubs.
The open-plan living and dining area provides ample space to spread out and enjoy a relaxing getaway together. The wooden floors also make cleaning up after messy pups as fuss-free as possible. There’s plenty of outdoor space in the shared garden, where your four-legged companions will no doubt enjoy having a good sniff and explore.
Monyash is an attractive old limestone village and is geared up for walkers and their muddy canine sidekicks. If you’re up for a hearty breakfast, you could head to The Old Smithy Tearooms or if you fancy a drink after a long walk, The Bulls Head welcomes dogs and provides water bowls (and other beverages – in glasses - for their human guests!).The Monyash Meander is a lovely little 2-mile stroll, following The Limestone Way, and is very popular with dog walkers. Slightly further afield is the traffic-free Tissington Trail, and you can park at Parsley Hay (2 miles from the cottage). The historic spa town of Buxton is just 8.5 miles away and is well worth a visit, too. Set at 300 metres above sea level, it has been welcoming visitors to its natural thermal springs since Roman times. Again, the town is well-equipped for dog walkers, with many eateries to choose from.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
