We arrived to a warm comfortable cottage and a lovely Christmas tree made it more special. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds are big and so comfortable we had not trouble sleeping the cockerels were a bit of an early wake up but we got used to them really quickly. The lovely thoughtful foods and bottlRead moree of wine was a lovely surprise. We cant wait to come back and stay again. Hide

Lovely comfortable cottage. Very high spec kitchen & bathroom. Comfy beds with good quality bed linen. Loved the big square pillows so much I've ordered some! Bread, butter, milk, home made scones with jam & wine, all much appreciated, on arrival. Thanks Michelle for a lovely stay!

We had a fantastic time. Michelle was very friendly, we were on our honeymoon and they put a bottle of champagne in the fridge for us. There was also cake there and a fantastic jar of home made jam. Cottage was v well equipped, everything you would need in the kitchen, and clean white bedding and nice soft towels. Location was fantastic, in a quietRead more village, really relaxing sitting outside, but you are only a 15 min journey to the centre of York. We also went to Castle Howard & Whitby. Hide

The cottage was in a lovely location not far from York. It was comfortable and cosy with a log burner which was easy to light when the evening chills set in. The owner is based on site and only a phone call away if you have any questions/problems. We would recommend this cottage for either couples or a family of four.

Lovely cottage in an excellent location for exploring York. Beautiful setting in peaceful village location but so near to York itself it was the best of both worlds! Cottage itself is beautiful and perfect for kids and dogs. Michelle is an excellent and friendly host with lots of local knowledge. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings, perfect for my son who is 2 as he loved going down to see the resident chickens and pigs. Great place to get away from it all and enjoy the peace and quiet. Cant wait to return.
