Located in a quiet valley high in the Black Mountains, this traditional barn conversion makes an ideal base for couples wanting to enjoy the outdoors and explore the Brecon Beacons.
This traditional barn conversion is set deep in the Olchon Valley and within a working farm. It means that you have far reaching, spectacular views while your dog will be perpetually entertained by all the smells the farm has to offer, and warmed by the wood burner as the days draw in.
Despite only sleeping two guests, the accommodation is spacious and retains many original features - giving it real character. You enter through a utility area - the perfect place to take off muddy boots and brush down the dog’s paws - before heading into the lounge and dining area. Some of the property’s stone walls can still be seen, and you will love to curl up on the deep windowsill with a good book or in front of the wood burner with Fido after a long day’s walking. The dining table can seat up to four, while the kitchen has everything you need to make delicious meals while on holiday. From the lounge, you can go up two steps to the bedroom which has a comfortable king-size bed. The bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room. The outdoor space with this property is a real selling point - with your dog well thought of. Gardens to the rear and front of the barn are enclosed, while there is a dining table and chairs along with a dedicated area to cook on the BBQ.
The Olchon Valley, where the barn is situated, is on the Herefordshire/Wales border. It means that walks within the Black Mountains are easily possible which are on the eastern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. If your dog is a keen swimmer, you can even go canoeing in the park too.
