Alternatively, head out into the garden, light the BBQ and dine in the great outdoors. After dinner, make your way to the living room which features beautiful oak beams and a wood burner for your pup to snooze contentedly in front of. At the end of the day, there are four lovely bedrooms to choose from – one on the ground floor with patio doors that open onto a small courtyard, and three upstairs that are accessed via an attractive iron spiral staircase.

All the outdoor spaces are dog friendly and at the weekend, wine tastings take place in a tent, so pups are welcome to attend. Alternatively, make your way to Castle Meadows (7 miles), where there are some gorgeous walks along the River Usk.
