This beautiful barn conversion sits in peaceful countryside yet is within 2 miles of the small town of Crickhowell. With original features complementing contemporary design, this cosy cottage is the perfect romantic hideaway for two.

Romance abounds in this remote barn conversion set on a working farm with a brook running through it. Sleeping two people in one bedroom and welcoming one faithful friend, this is the perfect Brecon Beacons retreat for couples who enjoy long country walks with their pup. And if you value your privacy, but still want your extended friends and family to come along for the adventure, this barn is set in a complex of properties and can be booked alongside the neighbouring farmhouse, which sleeps eight people and welcomes one canine companion.

With its white-washed exposed stone walls, high ceilings and traditional beams, this beautiful barn conversion is overflowing with original features. Cook a romantic feast for two in the kitchen or step out of the patio doors and strike up the BBQ in the small, sheltered garden. This secluded garden is the perfect place to keep an eye out for local wildlife from the adjoining Site of Special Scientific Interest, Craig-y-Cilliau. After dinner, head to the living room and curl up on the sofa as your pup snoozes happily in front of the wood burner. At the end of the day, climb the stone stairs to the charming bedroom. With its wooden floorboards and original doors, this room is full of quaint country charm.

Take your pup for a picturesque stroll at Silent Valley Nature Reserve (12.5 miles). This beautiful woodland of towering beech trees gives way to heath and grassland on the steeper slopes of the Ebbw Valley, a Site of Special Scientific. Or, if you’re looking for a romantic tipple or two, check out White Castle Vineyard (14.5 miles). Your pup is welcome at this vineyard in the rolling hills of Monmouthshire, so take a stroll and treat yourself to some delicious Welsh wines.

We loved our stay at the barn, it is very well equipped, cosy and peaceful.......with nothing around you just the meadows and views of the hills. It was the perfect base for us to explore the Brecon Beacons. You can walk from the barn up into the hills with amazing views for miles and also walk into the nearby villages of llangattock, crickhowell aRead morend along the canal to Gilwern. Highly recommend 'The horseshoe inn' and 'The vine tree' as places to eat in llangattock. Overall we had a fab stay. Hide

Idyllic location with lots of birds, wildlife and walks on the doorstep. The barn is cosy and warm for cooler days with a great log burner (plentiful logs provided & easy to gather kindling) and well equipped kitchen. For a rural break to explore the Black Mountains and quirky local towns Cwm Bach is ideally located.
