The Llanfair Slate Caverns (11 miles) are also brilliant for little explorers and dogs are welcome to join you as you guide yourself through nine man-made caverns. Head into Coed y Brenin Forest Park (15 miles) for long walkies that the whole family can enjoy, before heading back to the cottage via a quaint dog-friendly pub in Ganllwyd (12 miles).
