Located at the northern end of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, you and your dogs will find plenty of walking routes full of sights and smells to enjoy. The Cotswold Way, for example, can be accessed nearby and offers walking and cycling. Almost as well-known as Stow-on-the-Wold is Moreton-in-Marsh (4 miles), with the picture-postcard town of Broadway 12 miles away. For literary history, head to the birthplace of Shakespeare, Stratford-upon-Avon (21 miles), or if you’re a keen gardener, try Batsford Arboretum, where dogs are welcome on a lead. Dogs are also welcome in the grounds of Blenheim Palace (22 miles).
