Whitstable is a holidaymaker’s paradise, with an eclectic range of independent shops, delicious eateries, and the pretty dog-friendly beach all on your doorstep. This quaint, cosy cottage is nestled just 0.5 miles from the town’s centre and sleeps four, making it the perfect family home-from-home. You won’t need to leave your four-legged friends behind either, as there is ample space for up to two dogs to join you.
Light floods through this Victorian cottage, with its neutral decor adding to its elegant, relaxed aesthetic. Make yourself at home and curl up beside the charming fireplace or fire up the wood burner in the dining room and enjoy a well-deserved feast cooked in the galley kitchen. On warm summer evening, why not dine alfresco? The enclosed private garden is the ideal space to enjoy dinner or drinks with all the family, as the pooches can join you and enjoy the fresh sea air. The bedrooms are arranged over two floors and two traditional wooden cottage-style staircases lead to them; two doubles on the first floor, and the converted attic room on the second floor, which has a characteristic sloped ceiling and reduced head-height. Please note this room does not have its own door - steps open directly into the loft room.
Watch the boats from the harbour that lies just a 0.5-mile walk from the cottage. Here you can enjoy a range of water sports, from water skiing to kite surfing. For those that prefer to stay on dry land, follow the coast 1 mile to the neighbouring village of Tankerton, where rows of colourful beach huts line the gentle-sloping shingle. A coastal path also leads to Seasalter (2 miles), where you’ll find a dog-friendly gastropub that’s the perfect spot for a delicious lunch before your walk back to Whitstable.
