Sleeping up to six guests, this cottage is the perfect home-from-home for a family and up to two pups, and a wonderful base from which to explore the Dumfries and Galloway area. Keen fishermen will appreciate fishing available in nearby burn and sea fishing close by.
After a long dog walk, the handy utility area provides an ideal place to store muddy boots and give your tufty-pawed pals a quick rub down before moving into the rest of the house. The open-plan kitchen/dining area is a wonderfully sunny spot to sit and enjoy an early morning coffee, taking in the incredible views over Criffel whilst reading the papers. The lounge is warm and welcoming with comfortable leather sofas tucked around a wood burner making the room cosy even on the chilliest of evenings. The market town of Dumfries is just a 7-mile drive away and a great day out for anyone needing a little retail therapy. Screel Hill is a must-visit for a long and scenic dog walk, with hikers rewarded with panoramic views from the top of the ridge after an exciting trek through woodlands
