One of two spacious and stylish properties with garden. Located on a working livery in Llanrhidian at the heart of the Gower peninsula. Perfect for a romantic coastal retreat or an active break.
A cosy and stylish cottage that’s ideal for couples looking for a romantic break with their dogs. It’s on a working livery that stands in 60 acres of private grounds in the heart of the Gower Peninsula. You can reach Cefn Bryn, the sandstone ridge that forms the backbone of the Gower, direct from the property. From there, you have endless wonderful walks across open countryside that’s grazed by wild ponies. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).
Inside, the property has a large open-plan living space with doors out onto the garden and beautiful rural views. There is a well-equipped kitchen area with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine and a good-sized dining table. Perfect for cooking and eating romantic meals with the dogs curled up at your feet. There are comfortable sofas to curl up on in the lounge area, where you can enjoy lazy afternoons with a book or cosy evenings with a film. There’s also a spacious bedroom and bathroom, complete with more of those gorgeous views. Outside, there is a private enclosed garden with patio furniture and a hot tub. Relax and let the dogs run free while you do nothing at all. If you’re part of a bigger group, you can book the cottage with the property next door, Crickton Farmhouse.
The many tracks over Cefn Bryn can take you as far as the coast, including the beautiful Oxwich Bay, 6 miles away. It’s a favourite spot for surfers, backed by dunes and woodland. Nearby is the grand Tudor Oxwich Castle, overlooking the bay. Swansea Bay is a big draw for water sports fans, and the city of Swansea is a good place to spend an afternoon shopping or enjoying a lazy lunch.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
