Enjoy a romantic getaway on the English Riviera with your loved one and your favourite four-legged pal. This homely apartment is perfectly situated to explore the beautiful beaches along this spectacular stretch of coast, with the unspoilt tranquillity of Babbacombe Downs and Beach within easy walking distance (just over 1 mile). Fabulous woof-friendly attractions, such as Greenway House with its gorgeous walled gardens (10.5 miles away), are also easily accessible by car.
This inviting single-storey property, adjoining the owner’s home, offers plenty of creature comforts to create a home-from-home holiday. Set on a quiet residential road and with your own private courtyard, peace and privacy is assured. After a relaxing stroll along the Downs, prepare a hearty meal in the contemporary kitchen and sit together at the dining table overlooking the courtyard. On a warm evening, throw open the French doors so your furry companion can potter in and out to the enclosed outdoor area. Retire to the comfy sofas, with Fido curled at your feet, for a cosy night in front of the TV.
Take a stroll along the highest promenade in England at Babbacombe Downs, before descending onto the unspoilt haven that is Babbacombe Beach. The horseshoe-shaped shingle beach is dog friendly all year and, if you’re lucky, during your visit you’ll spot dolphins and seals playing off the shore. Board the Dartmouth Steam Railway at Paignton (5 miles away) and travel in style along the coastal track that was built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel (there’s a small charge for the waggy-tailed one). Hop off at Galmpton to wander around the grounds of Greenway House, Agatha Christie’s former holiday home on the banks of the River Dart. There’s also a delightful cafe where you can sit outside with the pup.
