Striking house set in an enviable position within a tranquil rural village. Ideally placed for day trips to the Jurassic Coast, walking or simply admiring the stunning views over open countryside.

This beautiful property, situated just 4 miles from West Bexington Beach, is ideal for family get-togethers or friends’ reunions – not forgetting the loyal hounds, of course! Sleeping ten across five tranquil bedrooms and with space for up to two dogs to snooze, this superb country house is the perfect place to spend a peaceful holiday away from the hustle and bustle yet is still close to some fantastic tourist spots. Pop to Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens (6.5 miles) or discover the Jurassic ammonite pavement at Monmouth Beach in Lyme Regis (17.5 miles).

The property, which has its own private driveway, is decorated in a perfect blend of the contemporary and traditional. The huge kitchen is fresh and bright with sleek shiny units and a breakfast bar island in the middle, while the open fire and rich, warm tones in the lounge beckon you to sink back in the sofas and relax, the pups at your feet. Choose from any of the wonderful bedrooms that will ensure a restful night’s sleep; wake up among soft pastel colours and head down to the patio for your morning coffee. Fire up the BBQ out here in the summer while the hounds and kids run around on the lawn.

Children will love discovering the multi-sensory exhibitions at the Dinosaur Museum (11 miles), where canine companions are welcome. They’re also welcome at the enchanting Dorset Teddy Bear Museum just round the corner. Walk the South West Coast Path from secluded Eype Beach (9 miles) which is well worth visiting for fossil hunting and a picnic. If the pups can be left or if someone wants an early night, Badger Watch Dorset (19.5 miles) gives you the unique opportunity to watch wild badgers in their natural habitat in the evening right up until dawn the next morning.
