This Devon retreat is a spacious and bright three-storey house, perfect for inviting the whole extended family for a celebratory trip as it sleeps ten guests (plus one lucky canine). Enjoy sea views from a bedroom balcony and terrace, before heading to the beach for a sandy stroll at Woolacombe, Saunton or Croyde – some of the greatest beaches that Devon has to offer.
The property is designed to make the most of its seaside location. The hub of the home is a bright, open area, combining a sleek modern kitchen and fun breakfast bar, beside a full wall of bi-folding doors leading out to the terrace. Here you can sit and enjoy the sea air with a view of the stunning bay. There’s even an additional dining room so you can host a more formal get-together. The lounge is another spacious area, with natural textures and tones and plenty of comfy places to sit. Then up on the first and second floors are your bedrooms. Three are en-suite, and all boast light and peaceful decor and stunning views. Outside, fire up the BBQ for an al fresco dinner, while your dog relaxes (or not) on the raised lawn.
The seaside village of Mortehoe, just a few hundred metres away, is the perfect place to start your exploration of the Devon coast. Enjoy a pint in the sea breeze at one of several dog-friendly pubs. Or head straight for your local beach — Barricane Beach curls around Woolacambe Bay, decorated with shells and tidal rock pools. Or, take a jaunt 10 miles to the popular sandy destination of Saunton Sands, where your dog will love to lope around the waves or cross the dunes to Braunton Burrows beyond which has an abundance of wildlife. Seasonal restrictions do apply to some North Devon beaches.
