Imagine the freedom, fresh air, adrenaline and wild beauty of the Scottish Highlands, then make it real for you and your family, friends and canine companion. Perched in the foothills of Ben Nevis (12 miles) on the eastern edge of Loch Linnhe, the views of both are breathtaking and ever-changing through the seasons. In Fort William and Lochaber (6 miles), there are independent shops, eateries, galleries, a ruined medieval castle, a monthly Farmers' Market and dog-friendly pubs: the Grog and Gruel is a traditional alehouse and a favourite amongst our four-legged friends. Learn to fish, kayak, sail, climb, paddleboard and hone your survival skills amidst the staggering beauty of this ancient landscape.

Balancing the rugged environment surrounding you, the interior of the farmhouse ensures comfort, contentment and perfect spaces for hounds and humans to rest. After days of adventure, unwind around a roaring fire in the sea blue sitting room; reminisce with whisky and happy woofs and plan days yet to come. The top local produce includes smoked salmon, lobster, scallops and crab, and it'll be a joy to prepare in the quaint country kitchen/diner, and enjoy while gazing out of the windows at the breathtaking landscape. Whether you choose the ground or first-floor twin bedrooms, sweet dreams and astounding morning vistas await in each spacious nest.

Try open water swimming at Loch Linnhe Beach (5 miles), plan your ascent of Ben Nevis - Britain's highest mountain - and take the picturesque ‘Road to the Isles' from Lochaber to Mallaig (48 miles) to discover more beautiful and secluded beaches. Puppy and human eyes will be amazed at the 120-metre-high Steall Waterfall in Upper Glen Nevis (12 miles), and two legs or four will love to explore the magnificent Creag Meagaidh National Nature Reserve at Loch Laggan (33 miles).

  • There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £30. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.

A great place to stay & explore. It is very quite but not far from town. It's clean, warm, comfy & with a well equipped kitchen. Saw deer on an evening walk & more in the field below on our last morning. We saw Glenfinnan Monument & Viaduct, Eillean Donan, Glencoe Visitor Centre, Dumblodore's Grave, (Potter). We went on the Glen Nevis Goldola and sRead moreome of our party hiked up Ben Nevis. Walked Glen Nevis to Steall falls & a Boat Cruise to see seals .Would really recommend. Stunning area. Hide

We keep returning to this lovely relaxing cottage in a peaceful and beautiful location. Its a home-from-home for us and we hope to return again in the not too distant future.

The setting and location are fantastic. Set a mile down its very own track the property is situated in a stunning location where you can do your own walks straight from the front door. Local amenities are near by as well. The cottage is comfortable and quaint and has everything you need.

A really nice property on the outskirts of fort William offering loch and Ben Nevis views, get up early for a stunning sunrise! Perfect for dog families, with an enclosed kitchen to keep them in. Really enjoyed the balance between privacy of the property and surrounding estate, with Fort William and Ben Nevis under 10 minutes away. Very relaxing stay, the fenced area around the house allowed our 2 dogs to roam off the lead. Sitting on the garden bench both Loch Linnie and Ben Nevis can be viewed without moving a muscle. The location was perfect. 360 degree views of mountains, including Ben Nevis, plus Loch Linnhie. Well equipped, comfortable, clean, plenty of hot water, great showers, comfortable beds etc Lots to do in the local area. Highly recommended.

An amazing cottage in a wonderful location! Well equipped, warm and comfortable, a real home from home. A lovely farmhouse in a beautiful location. Every window had an amazing view of the mountains, including Ben Nevis. There was a great supply of dry wood, which enabled us to have a real fire every evening hitch was really cosy. A fabulous family retreat for the 5 of us and 2 furry friends. An absolute perfect setting for those with dogs, I got up early every morning and was able to explore the beautiful walks right from the doorstep. Big tip if you bring dogs, make sure you bring a tick tool, our two were covered after each walk! This is a really lovely comfortable cottage, the location is wonderful, isolated but only a short drive from Fort William. We were blessed with fabulous weather and could see the walkers climbing Ben Nevis from the windows with our binoculars!! We heard Tawny Owls calling every night and regularly saw a Cuckoo.
