Pretty Yorkshire stone cottage perfectly situated to explore both Harrogate, York and the surrounding Yorkshire Dales. Ideal for couples and families who are looking for a special stay.
Tucked away in an affluent leafy suburb of Harrogate, the cottage welcomes four guests and up to two dogs, making it ideal for a family or couple’s holiday. This home away from home boasts a warm welcome for everyone. On your arrival you’ll be greeted by a wonderful welcome hamper put together by the owner. You can also free up some space in the car, as the needs of your canine companion have been thoughtfully anticipated: a dog bowl, and towels for damp or muddy paws, are provided!
The open-plan kitchen/diner is bright and inviting, somewhere you can all gather in the morning to plan the day. Sit at the table or kitchen island for breakfast or take your cup of tea to the soft chairs by the French doors. In the evening, light the wood burner and watch a film. Treat your four-legged friend to the best spot in the house and put their bed near to the warmth of the fire. They’ll curl up happily at your feet! When it’s time to say goodnight, let sleeping dogs lie, and head upstairs to the elegantly decorated bedrooms and a stylish bathroom, where you can enjoy a soak in the roll-top bath. Outside, there is an enclosed lawn area, your own private spot for basking in the sun and a game of fetch.
Explore the spa town of Harrogate (2 miles), where you’ll find several dog-friendly cafes and pubs. Highlights of the town centre include a traditional afternoon tea in a vintage setting, and the restored Turkish Baths where you can easily while away the hours. Stroll around nearby Knaresborough (4.5 miles) and Ripon (13.5 miles), and for fun day trips out head to Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well (4 miles), and the stunning Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden (12 miles), which both welcome people and pups.
