And if that's not enough, the sunrises from here are spectacular, so be sure to get up early. Despite its isolated position, you're only 4 miles from the town and beach of Armadale.

At this end of Skye, you can explore the town of Armadale with its bustling pier, ferry to Mallaig and beautiful castle, gardens and museum (where even your dog is welcome on a lead). The lovely village of Broadford (20 miles) with its galleries and shops is worth a visit and even has water sports and fossil hunting on offer too. The spectacular Cuillin Ridge is quite a drive at 51 miles (approx. 90 minutes), but it boasts an interesting walk/scramble and is home to 12 Munros.
