Perfectly situated just a short drive from the coast and amidst stunning lakes and an abundance of wildlife, this lovely lodge provides great base from which to explore North Devon and Cornwall.

Surround yourself in the sublime beauty of rural Devon at this lakeside lodge on an idyllic farm. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms and welcoming two four-legged friends, it’s the perfect bolthole for a romantic couple or small family or group of friends who like to make the very most of the great outdoors. You’ll enjoy having complimentary access to the property’s six fish-stocked lakes, and your pups will love their long walks through the unspoiled countryside.

Sitting on a pretty complex of waterside properties, this lodge is both stylish and spacious. There are three steps and a ramp that access the gated veranda of this single storey home-from-home. Step inside and you’ll find an open-plan living room/kitchen/diner. Cook up a feast for your loved ones in the well-equipped kitchen and dine together in the dining area. After dinner, head out onto the balcony and enjoy the lake views as you sip on a glass of something chilled, or make your way to the cosy living room to watch your favourite TV programme while your pups stretch out at your feet. At the end of the day, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from.

Spend a glorious day fishing the property’s six lakes, where you can fish several species of mirror carp and common ghosties up to 20lb, bream up to 12lbs, roach up to 2lbs, tench up to 5lbs and perch up to 4lbs. Alternatively, head to the lovely pebble beach at Clovelly (2.5 miles), which is dog-friendly all year round. Pups on leads are also welcome at Docton Mill Gardens (7 miles). Pups are welcome in the outside seating section of the garden’s tea rooms, which are said to serve one of the best cream teas in Devon.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.

Atmospheric, beautiful views, perfect for relaxing. The Lodge was very welcoming with a complementary bottle of local milk, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen and bathroom towels and bed linen. My husband and son spent many happy hours fishing and my 11 year old was thrilled to catch a 6 and a half pounder. The local shops and restauranRead morets were 15 -20 minutes away by car , would have liked a closer shop in walking distance; the beach was half an hour drive..annoying!! Hide

We had such a lovely relaxing time, it was so peaceful. The lodge was very comfortable and had everything you needed, lots of information and leaflets provided. We enjoyed the company of the geese that visited every day they just eat the grass and then move on! Claire the owner was very friendly approachable and solved any issues very promptly. nice location of the cabin, well situated for the fishing. Geese leaving droppings on grassed areas though, which you have to dodge round and would not be suitable for children playing there. good views over the countryside which make you want to go out and explore! The site itself is good, but I would not choose this cabin again because of the geeRead morese droppings. Will probably try one of the top lake cabins next time Hide

Lovely holiday cottage making it really easy to get to parts of devon locally. Lovely welcome package of milk and coffee etc and lovely not having to think of bringing washing up liquid etc. Beautiful scenery and if you like watching birds this is a beautiful place to be. Lovely and clean and we had an all singing/dancing shower.
