Sitting on a pretty complex of waterside properties, this lodge is both stylish and spacious. There are three steps and a ramp that access the gated veranda of this single storey home-from-home. Step inside and you’ll find an open-plan living room/kitchen/diner. Cook up a feast for your loved ones in the well-equipped kitchen and dine together in the dining area. After dinner, head out onto the balcony and enjoy the lake views as you sip on a glass of something chilled, or make your way to the cosy living room to watch your favourite TV programme while your pups stretch out at your feet. At the end of the day, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from.
Spend a glorious day fishing the property’s five lakes, where you can fish several species of mirror carp and common ghosties up to 20lb, bream up to 12lbs, roach up to 2lbs, tench up to 5lbs and perch up to 4lbs. Alternatively, head to the lovely pebble beach at Clovelly (2.5 miles), which is dog-friendly all year round. Pups on leads are also welcome at Docton Mill Gardens (7 miles). Pups are welcome in the outside seating section of the garden’s tea rooms, which are said to serve one of the best cream teas in Devon.
