Lovely cottage with all that you need very well equipped and comfortable. The pictures of the outside are very misleading as the gardens are not enclosed and not private at all and unfortunately you get the impression from neighbours that you are not wanted there as they are permanent residents not friendly at all, not good for dogs in that regard Read moreits also extremely noisy with both the M1 and A637 on its doorstep which is continuous but ok if windows kept closed which blokes it out its a shame Hide

Had a lovely stay at the cottage. Only negative was, although 'dog friendly' I wouldn't stay with our dogs again due to fact no secure garden to let them run around/toilet in, each time they needed to go to toilet we had to put lead on them to walk them to a particular grassed area Other than that cottage had everything we needed

There is no private enclosed garden for the dogs, close to a very busy road. Have to take your dogs out even just for a quick wee on the lead. Central heating only works is the log burner fire is lit, so very cold in a morning in the winter months. The cottage is full of character, well equipped and in an idyllic location. The garden was perfect for relaxing in. Our host was amazing and helpful. He went the extra mile to accommodate a family get together. Nothing was too much trouble. It was our first holiday for nearly two years and Claphouse Fold Cottage was very special.

The cottage is in a good location for local attractions and is comfortable and well equipped. However there is no enclosed garden as described and privacy is an issue both at the front and rear of the property. The cleanliness of the property was also an issue and there was dust on a lot of the surfaces around the cottage.
